Rivendell

£799.00
sold out

A timeless combination of natural beauty and exquisite modern elegance.

This project was a test to see if seamless design and striking boldness could be achieved, using accents of different cultures and eras and only the most beautiful materials. This elegant coffee table boasts local Devon oak, grown, felled, milled, dried and crafted within the Devon county.

The waterfall leg was used to give a 3D wrapping effect to the table, making it seem as though the grains are flowing like a river down to the floor.

While we have tried to keep the epoxy usage to a minimum, the clear epoxy still allows the natural beauty of the timber to be the showpiece, rather than taking away from the elegance of the wood.

The bowties add the final accent, while functional, the spalted beech used for these bowties is a modern feature that just sets this project apart.

With all of these combinations, we have given this table the name 'Rivendell', known for its beauty and elegance. A piece like this could very possibly be found in the Elvish great halls, or even in King Elronds personal halls.
